Biography

Brian Kirkland began providing litigation support to renowned litigator W. Glen How in 1992, working closely with Mr. How and his team on issues ranging from land use to constitutional challenges at the Supreme Court of Canada and international human rights. Brian joined Stevenson Whelton LLP as a civil law clerk in 2001 and attained his paralegal license when the profession became regulated in 2008. He has conducted numerous trials in Small Claims Court and appeared before various administrative tribunals. Today Brian is Stevenson Whelton LLP’s senior paralegal, serving with our personal injury and medical malpractice group.

Brian has a keen interest in helping people and a passion for good advocacy. He teaches paralegal studies at Humber College and regularly volunteers in community service. Brian maintains avid side interests in astronomy, physics, and life sciences.
