The Ontario Superior Court of Justice recently approved the settlement of the DePuy ASR Hip Implant Class Action for the total amount of $15.5 million. The proceeding alleged that certain metal-on-metal hip implants manufactured by the defendants were defective, resulting in the need for premature implant replacement.
